Chairperson of the Parliament Volodymyr Groysman has presented awards of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to those awarded on the occasion of the Day of honoring the combatants in the territory of other states.
V.Groysman pointed to the feats and heroism of Ukrainian soldiers during hostilities in other states. Head of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that they were not standing aloof during the recent events in Ukraine: the Revolution of Dignity and hostilities in the east of Ukraine, where they again "made a stand for interests and good of the population." "In all difficult times the State could always count on the soldiers, true patriots, real fighters," V.Groysman said.
The Chairperson of the Parliament also stressed that today it is necessary to regulate the discrepancies in approaches to social protection of the combatants. V.Groysman said that last week he gave a corresponding order to the Parliamentary Committee in charge to find the right solution to this question.
"There can not be different approaches to the heroes, real warriors," the Head of the Verkhovna Rada said. "The issue of the national security, defense, and rebirth of the Ukrainian squadron is not brought into question at all with regard to any support by the Parliament," he said.
